Plettner Family Pictures

We met up with the Plettner family at their newly purchased property for their family photo shoot. Even with the gale force winds the shoot turned out amazing. Golden light saturated the trees, reflecting the pure playfulness and joy of life. We were able to work with each family capturing the beautiful dynamics of each group.  Our goal is always to tell the story of each family, highlighting the celebration of life. 

Rasmussen Family Pictures

In the late spring afternoon we met up with the Rasmussen family for a photo shoot. 

Warm sunlight illuminated the fresh pink blossoms and the lime green buds on the trees.  The Rasmussen family was so much fun to work with. The atmosphere was relaxed and laid back as the addition of the kids' favorite storybooks, bubbles and other props brought about much laughter. When I look back over these photos I am reminded to always cherish life's small moments. Moments when the light catches a passing glance of love, a twinkle in the eye or a burst of giggles from a child.  

Carrie and Chè Family pictures

For this Christmas season we were able to work with the Carrie and Chè's family again.  It is hard to resist taking the pictures of such darling kids.  During the photo shoot we were very entertained by Kennedy and Lexie's joy.  It was a pleasure to work with them and we were inspired to send out our own cards.

Alex's Senior Pictures

Our journey into senior picture land brought Alex to us yesterday.  It was our pleasure to work with such a gregarious and fine young gentleman.  Alex loves hunting and fishing so our journey led us outside to the wind of Nebraska.  We braved the elements and survived with some fun photos of Alex.  

I was extremely pleased that the corn had not yet been harvested even though it is so late in November.  We actually came across a the field as we were heading to the lake, and I thought it would be a great place to stop.  While we were taking the pictures the farmer and a few other stopped by to make sure Alex wasn't hunting in their field.  That would have been crazy. 

Joe & Vanessa

The warm fall November day in Omaha was perfect for engagement pictures of Joe and Vanessa. The fall reds, yellows, browns and oranges were still clinging to the leaves in the trees. Joe and Vanessa’s love for each other and friendly personalities made this photo shoot flow naturally, which comfortably created some of our very favorite engagement photos. We could not have asked for a better day or clients to work with. 

The Old Market in downtown Omaha was a perfect place for this late fall afternoon.  It was a perfect day for photos!

Ako, Eriko, and Stephanie

Yesterday we had the opportunity to shoot senior pictures for some Japanese foreign exchange students.  It was a great time as their Japanese teacher (at the school) kept everyone entertained as we all had a great time.  Laughter breaks all cultural and communication barriers.  Once everyone was having fun everything moved very smoothly.

The backdrop of fall colors was perfect and we couldn't have dreamed of better light.  I love taking photos during the fall.  The bokeh from the leaves is a perfect background, and a telephoto lens, compressing the image, proved to be the right choice.
