Van Camp Family Portrait

I met the Van Camp family for two photo shoots. The first one was in our studio. Halle wore an adorable vintage dress and pink tutu for the studio photos.  She loved crawling and even took a few steps on her own.

In celebration of her 1st Birthday she got to dive into a chocolate cupcake. We had a great time watching her eyes light up as the frosting touched her lips. Halle was just adorable!

For the second part of the photo shoot we met up at Elmwood Park in Omaha.  The fall leaves still lingered on the ground and the sun was shining bright in Elmwood Park.  I loved capturing Luke and Katie as they played with Halle.  Children grow up fast, that's way it is important to love and cherish each moment as Luke and Katie do their daughter.

Lisa and Joel's Engagement

Autumn's November winds blew across the open harvested fields. Fall was making way for the next season on the day that I met Lisa and Joel for their engagement pictures. We gathered in downtown Fremont for some photographs near the old buildings and cobbled alleyways.  Then we drove out into the country for some fun shoots in an alfalfa field.  My favorite moments were in the field. Lisa and Joel sat in the new growth of alfalfa as the sun was setting behind them. I love the way the light danced around them and how they gazed off into the green field.  It reminded me of a famous quote, "Love does not consist of gazing at each other, but in looking together in the same direction."  ~Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Lisa and Joel were wonderful to work with.  We can't wait for their wedding next year.  It will be spectacular.

Jacob's Senior Pictures

We have had the tremendous pleasure this fall of meeting some outstanding seniors in our community.  Their character, their vision for the future, and their sincerity has set them all a part from many of their peers.  Getting to know people is what make us love the work that we do.  Jacob is an exceptional young man.  He is polite and good natured with a great sense of humor.  It was a joy to photograph him for his senior pictures.

The late afternoon portrait session took us to some places outside of downtown Fremont that we knew had character.  We spent time there and then traveled back to our studio for some formal portraits.  It was an amazing afternoon and early evening.  Best of luck to Jacob!

Estudillo Family Pictures

I met the Estudillo family on a cool fall day at Midland College in Fremont.  Red rust colored leaves covered the campus grounds. The Estudillo family was wonderful to photograph.  I loved the playful smiles and sisterly laughter the girls shared.  The girls played in the leaves, danced with the umbrella and made silly faces with the goggly eyes.  We took pictures near the fountain and the amphitheater.  We all shared in laughter and many smiles.  I was so blessed to be able to get to know the Estudillo family better.

Sarah and Mike's Engagement Pictures

This autumn has been amazing, beautiful days, cool nights and tons of gorgeous leaves that cover the ground.  We have been blessed in so many ways this fall.  One of these blessings was meeting Sarah and Mike for their engagement photos.  We met them at Elmwood Park on one of the last beautiful afternoons. Warm sunlight lit the tall tress in the park creating brilliant gold tones.

Sarah and Mike are an amazing couple.  Their love for each is evident.  I could see it in the way Mike adoringly looked at Sarah and how Sarah made Mike smile.  Their love was built with the bonds of friendship that has been cultivated and grown over time and distance.  Their love is real, honest and beautiful.  Throughout the photo-shoot they exchanged playful smiles, smirks, and even a bit of competitiveness.  After leaving Elmwood Park, we adventured into a local coffee shop in Dundee.  The coffee shop was warm and eclectic.  Mismatched tables and chairs were scattered around it.  We talked and enjoyed hot chocolate and lattes.  It was a great way to end the day.  We look forward to sharing the joy of their wedding day!

Bittle Family Portraits

Seasons come and go, but every once and a while you find special people who stay close to your heart.  The Bittle Family are those kind of people to me.  Before I became a full time photographer, I worked at a child-care center.  This is where I met the Bittle family.  I have had the great honor of being a part of their lives from the time their daughters were just tiny babies. The day of their photo shoot we met at UNL's East Campus.  It was a wonderful autumn afternoon, the girls playfulness and sisterly giggles brought smiles to everyone's face.
