Becky and Matt's Engagement

On a beautiful fall afternoon we met up with our good friends, Matt and Becky, for thier engagement photographs.  Yellow leaves scattered along the worn brick streets of Omaha's Dundee neighborhood.  We started the afternoon on Underwood Street at the Cork and Bottle, then moved to Memorial and Elmwood parks.  Warm sunlight illuminated the piles of late fall leaves that collected underneath the tall trees.  The end of the day brought us back to the Cork and Bottle.  It was the perfect afternoon.

Matt and Becky are so much fun to be around. They are full of laughter and love.  Matt makes Becky laugh, and Becky makes Matt a better person ;).  They bring out the best in each other.  We loved capturing images for their engagement and we are honored to be a part of thier lives and thier wedding day!  We look forward to their wedding in Washington State!

Wolff Family Portraits

I love the fall.  The colors, the change, the crisp air, everything about it makes me smile.  This year has been a memorable fall (much better than last year!).  I can't remember one like.  Gorgeous weather, perfect colors, and warm temperatures have made it a delighful season.  The day that we met the Wolff family for pictures was one of those days where everything fell into place. The saturated colors of fall complemented them as we had an enjoyable time filled with laughter and leaves.  The girls were amazing and their smiles contagious.

Stephan's Senior Pictures

I love the change of seasons.  Summer to fall, fall to winter, winter to spring, with every change in seasons there is a freshness to life.  During times like this Abbie and I love to spend at least some time reflecting about where we are at in life.  Sometiemes it is during a dinner away from the kids, or it may be on a walk during the evening, or any other moment that we can stop for a bit.

Lately we have been talking about why we love what we do as photographers.  It hit me today, when thinking about what I wanted to write, that it is people like Stephan that make us love what we do.  As photographers we get the awesome privilege to be a part of people's lives during the seasons that are most important to them.  We get to see them at their best.  We get to witness it, and we build a connection with these people through the images that we capture.

Stephan is that type of person.  The guy who reminds you why you love what you do.  He is a diverse person with interests in all different areas.  It was great to hear about the musicians who inspired him to play the guitar, the song that made him stop and say, "I want to play that."  Stephan impressed us.  People are a treasure, and it is so great to be a part of their lives.

Brianne and Beau's Engagement

Along the Missouri river cottonwood trees shimmered with autumns green and yellow leaves.  We met Brianne and Beau near the Omaha and Iowa's pedestrian bridge.  This was the perfect place to start their engagement pictures.  It was here at the bridge that Beau proposed to Brianne.  It was a delight to hear about the story of their love, which was reflected in their smiles.  Omaha's old urban streets, also added fun textures and much laughter.  Brianne and Beau are an amazing couple, they are adventures, silly, full of life and have a genuine love for each other.  We look forward to their wedding in the spring!

Colten's Senior Pictures

Colten's senoir pictures were taken just outside of Hooper on his family's farm. The autumn harvest and late afternoon sun filled the air with golden light.  Colten is an all american boy who helps out on the farm, enjoys playing football, never misses a husker game, and loves his dog.  It was great getting to know Colten.  Best of luck to him in his senior year.

Katie and Matt's Engagement

In an old industrial part of Omaha, we met up with Katie and Matt for their engagement pictures.  Brilliant autumn hues of gold, green and copper adorned the trees, while the rustic buildings surprised us with fun pop of color.

Katie and Matt were so easy to photograph because their love was visible in every graceful embrace, adoring glance, and joy filled smile they shared. We had a tremendous time with them and look forward to their wedding!  We are truly blessed to get to know them better.
