Tonya + Bill | Omaha, Nebraska

If you have never been to Underwood Street in the Dundee area of Omaha, you need to go and check it out.  It has great restaurants and watering holes full of class and character.  We decided that it would be the perfect place for engagement pictures with Tonya and Bill.  We started our adventure at Elmwood park.  Tonya and Bill were accompanied by their friendly dogs who were all full of great personalities.  The park was wonderful for pictures.  The soft light from grey clouds made every color so vivid and beautiful.  After taking some pictures, it was time for a family portrait with the puppies.  Everyone was incredible (including Tonya and Bill)!  We finished off the engagement session on Underwood Street.  Tonya and Bill are such amazing people.  Their personalities shine and their love is evident in their smiles.  We are so excited for their wedding!

Stephanie + Eric | Fremont, Nebraska

Adventurous.  That is one word that comes to mind when I think about Stephanie and Eric.  Adventurous and mischevious.  Our engagement session was memorable and full of excitement and thrill as we ventured to the place where Eric proposed to Stephanie.  The Fremont Dinner Trains provided an excellent backdrop to their engagement photographs... untill... we were expelled from the area because it was railroad property.  Ooops... The curious thing was that we thought it was part of a park.  It was an exciting time and we had so much fun with the both of them.  Their personalities are contagious and the entire time was full of laughter.  Stephanie looked stunning as her eyes sparkled in the evening sunlight.  And, we loved Eric's hat.  It helped to highlight their personas.  We can't wait till their wedding!

Leah + Joe | Omaha, Nebraska

Omaha is always full of surprises.  As photographers we seek out the unexpected.  While meandering through the Old Market we discovered a few stellar alleys and hidden corners just perfect for Joe and Leah's engagement shoot.  The rustic urban streets were lit with the afternoon spring sunlight.  Leah looked stunning and Joe created a sparkle in her eyes every time he smiled at her.  They were so easy to photograph.  They were perfect.  The late afternoon was full of spontaneous teasing and bantering which produced much laughter and smiles.  At the end of the photo session when the sun was low on the horizon, we made one final stop by a local joint for a drink.  We truly enjoyed sitting and chatting with Leah and Joe.  We are so excited for their wedding in the fall!

Wendy + Neil | Lincoln, Nebraska

We met Wendy and Neil in Lincoln's downtown Haymarket.  Winter snow collected on the edges of the cobblestone streets while the afternoon sun hid behind soft gray clouds.  Lincoln's downtown area was the perfect place to take Wendy and Neil's engagement pictures.  It was here that they first met at Old Chicago. We had so much fun getting to know them better.  They are a sweet couple, who love to laugh and enjoy just being together.  We look forward to their upcoming wedding!

Holly + Paul - Winter Engagement Pictures

"Silently, slowly falls the snow from an ashen sky," -Giosue Carducci

Winter's afternoon sun was setting across Nebraska's farmlands when we met Holly and Paul for their engagement pictures.  We drove out into the country to a rustic old homestead.  The white frosted ground sparkled and crunched under our feet.  Together we adventured through the snow and braved the cold.  The location was inspiring to us, since we have regularly passed by it on our travels to Lincoln.

Holly and Paul were great.  They shared our vision for a winter wonderland.  After a few pictures they warmed up with hot cocoa and marshmallows.  We ended the engagement shoot at a country bridge accented by the setting sun.  Everything was just right.
